FAMILY ASSISTANCE administers the Medicaid, Food Assistance and Ohio Works First programs.

  • Medicaid

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

  • Ohio Works First

    Ohio Works First is a financial assistance program that is available to families with children under the age of 18 years.  There are work requirements attached and the assistance is limited to 36 months.  Cooperation with the Child Support Enforcement Agency (CSEA) is a requirement for this program.  

     Ohio Works First may also be available to relatives, legal guardians/custodians to assist with the care provided to children they are raising that are not their own.  This benefit is NOT time limited and does not have a work requirement.

  • Childcare Assistance

    Available to families where all adults have a qualifying activity (paid employment, attending school/training, or work participation in the SNAP or OWF work participation requirements) and are income eligible.  Childcare provider must be certified through ODJFS.

  • Fraud Prevention

    If you suspect abuse of any Family Assistance programs, please report it.  When making a report, be as detailed as possible.  Information needed includes names, addresses, phone numbers, dates, and specific allegations.  You don’t have to give your name when reporting; if you do, we will NOT reveal it to the person(s) under investigation.  To report fraud, call Morgan JFS or email us at morgansupport@jfs.ohio.govReport online at Report Fraud | Job and Family Services (ohio.gov).Description goes here
